Most Common Issues (All Models)

• No power / radio silent: For battery models – replace all batteries (check polarity); for mains – check plug, outlet, cord; reset by removing batteries/AC for 5–10 min; solar/crank models – charge fully via sunlight or hand-crank 1–2 min.
• Poor reception / static: Extend telescopic antenna fully (FM/DAB); rotate/position for best signal; move away from electronics (TV, PC, LED lights); for AM – rotate unit 90°; use external antenna if available; in weak areas try mono mode if option exists.
• No sound / low volume: Check volume knob/wheel; ensure not in headphone mode (unplug headphones); clean speaker grill of dust; test with known strong station; for Bluetooth models – check paired device volume.
• Clock / alarm not working: Set time after power loss (some models reset); ensure AM/PM correct; check alarm on/off switch; test with buzzer/alarm tone; replace backup battery (CR2032 common) if clock loses time.
• Bluetooth pairing fails (Bluetooth models): Put radio in pairing mode (hold Bluetooth button until flashing); enable Bluetooth on phone; delete old pairings; keep within 10 m, no obstacles; restart both devices.
• DAB+ not finding stations: Perform full auto-scan (hold DAB/FM button or menu); ensure in area with DAB coverage; reposition antenna; rescan if moved location.

Clock Radio & Dream Machine Models (ICF-C series)

• Alarm not sounding: Check dual alarm settings (A1/A2); ensure selected source (buzzer/radio); volume at reasonable level; test snooze/dimmer buttons.
• Display dim / off: Adjust brightness (some have sensor or manual dial); power cycle if frozen.

Emergency / Solar / Crank Models

• Flashlight / charging port weak: Crank 1–2 min more; charge via USB/solar in bright sun; LED may dim when battery low – recharge immediately.
• Weather band no alerts: Set to correct channel (162.400–162.550 MHz NOAA in US); test with weekly alert; antenna position critical.

Safety note: For emergency crank/solar models, use during power outages but do not rely solely on device. Keep away from water unless waterproof rated. Do not disassemble. For mains models, unplug during storms. Never leave children unattended with small batteries (choking hazard). Use only recommended batteries/chargers.
