Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a suitable location.

  1. Mounting: Clean the mounting surface (e.g., tile, glass). Press the suction cup firmly against the surface to create a seal.
  2. Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the back. Insert two AA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).

WARNING! This radio is splash-proof, not submersible. Do not immerse in water. Ensure suction cup is secure to prevent falling.

First-Time Setup

Power on the radio; tune to your desired station.

  1. Power On: Slide the POWER switch to the ON position.

Connecting to Power

  2. AC Adapter Power: Use only the specified Sony 3V DC adapter. Insert plug into DC IN jack on radio.

Tip: For best battery life, turn the radio OFF when not in use. Remove batteries if the radio will not be used for an extended period.

Tuning and Listening

Simple manual tuning for AM and FM stations.

  1. Turn the radio ON and select AM or FM band.
  2. Slowly turn the TUNING knob until you find a station. The dial pointer will indicate the frequency.
  3. Fine-tune for the clearest sound with minimal static.
  4. Adjust the VOLUME ring to a comfortable level.
  5. To turn off, slide the POWER switch to OFF.

WARNING! Do not use sharp objects to adjust the dial. Use fingers only on the knobs.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning. Wipe exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

CAUTION! Never immerse the radio in water or let water enter the speaker grille or battery compartment. Ensure unit is completely dry before reinstalling batteries or connecting power.
