Installation & Power

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all parts are present.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert batteries observing correct polarity (+/-).
  2. AC Power (Optional): Connect optional AC adapter to DC IN jack, then to wall outlet.
  3. Extend Antenna: Fully extend telescopic antenna for best FM reception.

WARNING! Use only recommended battery type. Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries if not using for extended periods.

First-Time Setup

Power on the radio and configure initial settings.

  1. Turn On: Press POWER button. The radio will beep and display will light.
  2. Select Band: Press POWER/SOURCE repeatedly to toggle between AM and FM.
  3. Initial Tuning: Use TUNING buttons to find a station.
  4. Set Time/Clock: If equipped, hold CLOCK button to enter setting mode.

Basic Operation

Turning On/Off, adjusting volume, selecting band.

  1. Press POWER to turn on. Default band is FM.

  3. Rotate VOLUME dial or press VOL +/- to adjust sound.
  4. Press BACKLIGHT to illuminate display for several seconds.

Tip: For best FM reception, orient the radio and fully extend antenna.

Tuning & Presets

Manual tuning and storing favorite stations.

  1. Manual Tune: In desired band, press TUNING up/down to scan frequencies.
  2. Auto Scan (if available): Hold TUNING button to auto-scan for next strong station.
  3. Store Preset: Tune to desired station. Press and hold a PRESET button (1-5) until display confirms.
  4. Recall Preset: Briefly press the corresponding PRESET button.
  5. Clear Preset: Store a new frequency over an existing preset.

WARNING! Presets are stored in memory and retained when power is off, but will be lost if batteries are removed for a long time.

Using Headphones

For private listening, plug standard 3.5mm stereo headphones into the jack. The internal speaker will be disabled automatically. Adjust volume to a safe level to protect hearing.

Care & Maintenance

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the cabinet. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Keep radio away from liquids and extreme temperatures. Do not disassemble the unit.
