Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

1. Power the radio: Insert batteries (size D x 4) or connect the optional AC adapter (not included) to the DC IN jack.
2. Extend the FM telescopic antenna fully for best reception.
3. For AM, ensure the ferrite bar antenna inside the radio casing is unobstructed; rotate the entire radio for optimal signal.
4. If using headphones, plug into the headphone jack.

WARNING! Use only recommended battery types. Do not mix old and new batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries.

First-Time Setup

Power on the radio; select band and tune to a station.

1. Set Power Source: Slide the POWER SOURCE switch to "BATT" for batteries or "DC" for AC adapter.
2. Select Band: Slide the BAND selector to "AM" or "FM".
3. Tune Station: Turn the TUNING knob slowly across the dial to find a station. Use the pointer on the dial for frequency.

4. Optimize Reception (AM): Rotate the entire radio body. The built-in ferrite antenna is directional.
5. Adjust Volume: Use VOLUME knob.
6. Private Listening: Plug headphones into jack.
7. Power Off: When not in use, turn volume to minimum or switch POWER SOURCE to "OFF" if available, or disconnect power.
